Squash

Did you know that squash plants have flowers? If you are ignorant of what the inedible parts of vegetable plants look like, as I was until recently, you too will be surprised. They're pretty!

But I'm still waiting to see the squash part of the plant...

I've been obsessed with trying different types of squash lately. Today I tried two different kinds -- the Delicata was yummy yummy in my tummy and the acorn one (I think that's what it was) wasn't so awesome. I had a carnival squash last week and it was also pretty good.

Anyway, I didn't know the plants had flowers... but what kind are you growing?

It's just plain old summer squash - nothing fancy. Have you had spaghetti squash yet?
